Our partnered mainstream Primary School based in Putney, Wandsworth is seeking for a Graduate Teaching Assistant / General Teaching Assistant to support a year 5 class immediately.

This school has a strong reputation within the community; they hold an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rating and have a particular emphasis on individuality and wellbeing.

This role will require you to:

Use a variety of behaviour management techniques to promote a positive learning environment and encourage students to engage in class discussions and activities.
Work closely with the class teacher to understand the needs of each individual student and develop strategies to support them in accessing their learning.
Act as a role model for positive behaviour, demonstrating respect, empathy, and patience towards all students in the class.
Use positive reinforcement and praise to acknowledge and encourage good behaviour and academic progress.
Support students who may be struggling with emotional or behavioural difficulties, and provide guidance on how to manage challenging situations in a constructive way.
Help students to develop selfregulation skills, such as managing their emotions and staying focused on tasks.
Provide feedback to the class teacher on any issues that arise, and work together to develop and implement solutions.
Keep accurate records of student progress and behaviour, and communicate regularly with parents and carers to ensure they are aware of any concerns or successes.

Qualifications and Experience:

A degree or relevant qualifications in Education, Maths, English, Sciences, Psychology, Drama, or Performing Arts or related field
Strong understanding of working with children/ young people, e.g., Youth Work, Mentoring, Tutoring, Childcare, Voluntarily
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
