About usHearing the words "you have cancer" changes everything,and when it happens in your 20s or 30s, it's a hugely unexpected curveball. Cancer is hard to cope with at any age, but harder still at an age of possibility and promise; a time for ticking off milestones such as building a career, starting a family and navigating life as a young adult. Trekstock exists to make sure those on the receiving end of those lifechanging words have the support they need to thrive beyond their diagnosis - whatever that looks like.
Award-winning charity Trekstock is the UK's only charity providing wellbeing support services for those in their 20s or 30s diagnosed with, living with and surviving any type of cancer.
Founded in 2009, we offer a host of direct support and a wide range of free services to help those impacted by cancer in our target age group stay active, get the information they need on the life topics that matter to them and meet others affected by the disease.
Our bespoke programmes, designed by our community for our community, have been accessed by a total of 4,290 beneficiaries in the last year.
We have an incredibly supportive Board and network helping us to raise funds.New business is never the problem but making the most of our network to maximise income is where we need you.
We have great Corporate partners and a very healthy pipeline of conversations; a strong case for support toTrust & Foundations and a great trading arm.
Are you an enthusiastic, experienced, and entrepreneurial fundraiser? Are you good at managing and motivating others? Are you inspired by helping young adults with cancer have the best support they can? If so, we are looking for you.
We're looking for a passionate, energetic and dedicated
Fundraising Officer; you'll be part of a team delivering the best possible stewardship for our supporters and giving them a truly legendary experience.
This is the ideal role for you if you enjoy communicating with a wide range of people and being part of a busy and friendly team.
You will have the opportunity to grow in confidence and develop skills in administration and fundraising as you deal with enquiries and collaborate with the team in providing the best possible support to our amazing fundraisers.
You'll also work closely with the
Head of Fundraising & Marketing and
Founder & CEO to scope projects, review avenues of potential support and secure funding.
We're looking for from you:
- You're great at developing longlasting relationships
- You understand how incredible volunteers and supporters are
- You are good at managing people
- You love communicating with different audiences
- You're great at time management and organisation
- You want to get your teeth stuck into developing a community fundraising plan
Salary:
£25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
