We are a ambitious and fast growing 24hour operation haulage company specialising in the transportation of Food produce from RDC to store for a leading Supermarket in the UK.
This role will require Reporting into the Operations Manager and Transport Manager, this is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for planning the day-to-day Drivers and the planning of trucks / trailers to ensure we cover all scheduled runs for our customer from RDC to store and ensuring the customer is never let down.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the drivers shifts weekly and ensuring start times are adhered to and support the Transport Manager in ensuring the drivers run under the correct driver's hours legislation and WTD.
- Planning of drivers and resources to meet work demands and minimum key performance indicators.
- Assigning and maximising the utilization of drivers and vehicles on a daily basis
- Ensuring delivery windows are met.
- Update all records that relate to transport i.e., deliveries & returns and rebooking's.
- Ensure the Schedule, transport plan, debriefs and any other work sheet is produced and sent out where required.
- Communicating with the manager when repairs and fitters are required for your fleet.
- Keeping track of bookings / planning of trucks when PMI Inspections and Mots are booked to ensure you are still able to reach all customer needs.
- Resolve Customer queries / complaints where applicable.
- All other transport office related duties
- Check timesheets and debriefs from drivers.
- Experienced within a fastpaced route planning environment.
- Previous General Haulage experience (or similar
- Fleet Management) using a variety of vehicles.
- Up to date knowledge of the latest transport regulations (Vehicles & Drivers)
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal at all levels.

Experience:
- HGV Planning: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- HGV Licence (preferred)
