Management Accountant - Projects

Bamber Bridge - Hybrid working from home for two days per week

Competitive Salary
We are assisting our client who is looking for a Management Accountant. Our client is a global engineering services provider specialising in the off shore, marine, civil and nuclear engineering sector.

As an experienced Management Accountant, you will be involved in a number of projects and will supply cost reports and collect all invoices.

You will support the ongoing projects, improve accuracy and drive new efficient ways of working. Focussed on assistingthe teams with cost, cash-flow management, revenue and reporting using both client and internal systems.

Constantly improving the way data drives the decision making process, you will work with finance, planning and project leadership teams to ensure accurate cost and financial information is delivered efficiently.


Your Key Skills and Competencies:


  • You will have a strong background in project based engineering or manufacturing
  • You will be highly competent with financial concepts, cost tracking and reporting
  • Working knowledge of Primavera P
  • Excellent Excel Skills
  • A background in project management or project finance
  • You will be an excellent communicator who can easily explain financial terms to non
- finance people.

  • Ideally you will have excellent project experience
  • Exposure to IFRS15 and experience dealing with the cost variance for different projects.
  • A qualification in CIMA/ACCA

The role will Involve:


  • Provide support to Project Managers in the financial management of their projects
  • Provide month end reports to explain any financial variances to forecasts of projects
  • Review accounting journals for the month end income statements
  • You will work closely with the Planning Manager and Project Managers to create an effective assurance model
