Description

We are on an exciting journey to grow our business through innovating how we do things - by continuing our exciting journey to operational excellence in our core (Clay & Concrete) Manufacturing sites, whilst also establishing ourselves as a leading manufacturer in the Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) Façade space.

As part of this journey, we have two Group priority projects, which rebuild brown field sites as world-class manufacturing facilities.


The role holder will be an influencer to ensure that people & culture are at the heart of everything we do, creating an environment where people can be at their authentic best and achieve their potential.

_Please note that this role is primarily offered as a 12 month FTC._


As our People Projects Office, your key accountabilities will be:


  • Change & Project Management. Taking the lead on people and change plans to ensure that change and continuous improvement are successfully implemented through clear change principles, successful planning, effective stakeholder engagement and realisation of key benefits.

Resourcing, Talent & Succession. Supports leadership teams to develop and implement effective plans to identify, attract, develop and retain key talent and critical skills.

Performance & Development. Coaches a supports leadership teams to drive a culture of high individual and team performance. Includes supporting leaders to role model best practice in relation to people management and development, including supporting leaders to encourage the creation of a growth mind-set across the business.

Equality, Diversity & Inclusion. Supporting leaders and colleagues to enable the creation of a truly inclusive work environment where every colleague can be their authentic self.

Organisation Culture & Engagement. Coaches leaders to ensure the appropriate level of focus is given to creating a people and performance culture, ensuring effective employee engagement activities are in place.

Organisation Design & Effectiveness. Ensure that the organisation is appropriately designed to deliver key business objectives in the short and medium term, including effective job design detailing clear accountabilities and key capabilities.

Reward. Supports business areas to ensure the appropriate financial and non-financial levers are in place to enable attraction, recruitment and retention of Talent and critical capabilities.


Ideally, we'd like you to have/be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience implementing effective people solutions in a "best in class" manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrates business and commercial acumen through the implementation of people focussed solutions to achieve business goals.
  • Understands and has tangible experience of supporting people change and transformation projects that deliver value to the business.
  • A good understanding of organisational culture and behaviour, and the key levers to influence this.
  • Ability to build strong relationships whilst also demonstrating the courage and resilience to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Understanding of leading people practices across all areas of the HR profession, including talent and succession. management, principles of a high performing teams and how to work effectively with teams to enable this, the principles of good leadership and management and how to coach leaders effectively to develop their management capability.
  • A growth mindset personally curious and inquisitive and always willing to learn.
  • Understand how to use HR analytics to create value and offer insight that inspires action.
  • Understanding of UK Employment legislation and company policies, and able to assess and manage the organisational impact of changes in employment law.
