Finance Manager - Leicester, United Kingdom - Paul Mitchell Associates
Description
You will manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounts department - supported by an accounts assistant - to ensure work is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist in financial strategy, planning, monitoring and management,
- Streamlining of the accounts department,
- Implement new procedures to make the running of the department more efficient,
- Total review of company spending, implement cost savings,
- Dealing with external auditors,
- Production of month end and year end management accounts,
- Cash flow forecasting,
- Annual budgets,
- Variance analysis and commentary to Directors,
- Costing analysis for manufactured items,
- Negotiating new contracts for Utilities,
- Manage employee/s within the accounts department so as to effectively recruit, train, evaluate, motivate, delegate and monitor their activities.
Requirements:
- Immediately available / on short notice,
- AATqualified,
- Previous management accounting experience is essential,
- Ability to present and interpret financial information to senior management / key stakeholders,
- Excellent numerical & analytical skills, attention to detail with the ability to identify procedures / areas for improvement,
- A 'cando' attitude, selfmotivated, assertive, proactive & demonstrate initiative,
- Experience managing / motivating a small accounts team would be advantageous,
- Possess excellent communication skills written and oral,
- Good IT skillsability to use of Microsoft packages incl. Excel and Outlook. SAP / ERP system experience would be a distinct advantage.
Salary Package
- Appointment Type: Ongoing Interim (possible Temp2Perm)
- Hourly Rate: £ £21.54 per hour (£38,000 £42,000 FTE)
- Hours: Full-Time (+ flexitime)
