We have an exciting opportunity to join the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (Nuclear AMRC), part of the University of Sheffield's Advanced Manufacturing Group, as an Integrated Project Team Lead.

We are looking for someone with extensive experience as a Project leader, or Senior Project Manager, preferably in the field of Engineering, Research or Innovation to add to our team based at our Rotherham facility.


As an IPT Lead, you will play a key leadership role, ensuring projects are run in accordance with client requirements and the Nuclear AMRC's Quality Management requirements.

You will be the focal point for project teams, co-ordinating resources and equipment loading to ensure that customer objectives are met and delivered on time and within budget.

You will be customer focussed and be the face of the team when dealing with clients throughout the project lifecycle.


You will:


  • Have substantial Project leadership experience with experience of direct line management.
  • Have strong skills in the fields of requirements capture, risk management and programme delivery.
  • Have expertise / knowledge in project methodology and a range of techniques to ensure the project is successful.
About the Team

You will work at the Nuclear AMRC Rotherham facility.

This role provides excellent opportunities to increase and enhance your knowledge and skills, supported by a friendly team in an excellent working environment.

You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of R&D projects in any or all of the following areas:
machining, joining, manufacturing engineering, control and instrumentation, simulation and verification, modularisation, supply chain development, and digital.

Projects you will work on may be conducted on behalf of commercial clients, be part of the Centre's capability development programme or be undertaken in collaboration with other organisations as part of a government funded programme.
