Kenyon Road Haulage, part of the OTIF Group are an established haulier. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Night Transport Operator.

Reporting to the Transport Manager, the role of a Transport Operator is to ensure the accurate execution of the transport plan to ensure that collections and deliveries are completed on time and in line with customer requirements whilst adhering to legal requirements.

The transport operators play a vital role in the proactive management of the transport operation.

This role has a fortnightly rotating shift pattern comprising of the following:

Week 1:
Sunday 6pm-6am, Monday to Thursday 6pm-1am

Week 2:
Monday to Thursday 11pm-6am, Friday 6pm-6am


Key Responsibilities:


  • Control, Management and planning of Night Drivers at all OTIF Depots
  • Forward planning for next day for network deliveries
  • Manifests printed
  • Vehicles allocated ready for 0500 warehouse start
  • Debriefing of Drivers
  • POD's ticked off/uploaded into TMS
  • Time sheet filed and uploaded for Payroll
  • Hard copies of POD's for Finance
  • Traffic system matches
  • Tramper parking register, and finish times

Vehicle management

  • Defects
  • Breakdowns
  • Trailer allocations
  • Accidents/damages escalation when needed

Planning

  • Prepare paperwork for drivers starting pre 0800.
  • Allocate vehicles matching to traffic systems
  • Replan by customer should there be sickness or breakdowns

Customers

  • 1st point of contact for customer
  • Resolving any issues
  • Customer Portal Management

Handover

  • Written and detailed handover log both ways

Other duties

  • FLT trained in case of requirement when driver is present (training provided)
  • Site control ensuring trailers are in correct locations.

Salary:
£30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
