    Main Purpose

At the heart of our service to our employer clients and their apprentices are our assessors, whose key role is to support and guide apprentices through every stage of their journey. You will be at the leading edge of our commitment to provide every apprentice with an outstanding experience and help our clients see a clear return on their investment. We are seeking a bricklaying assessor with experience of TLA and NVQ framework delivery able to develop the skills, behaviour's and competencies of apprentices in construction (bricklaying).

Role Responsibilities

  • Carry out apprentice inductions; this includes comprehensive completion of skills scans, Individual learning plans, initial assessments to establish the correct level and programme of study.
  • Timely completion of assessment, documentation and Smart Assessor upload to meet Awarding Body criteria and organisational requirements.
  • Manage a caseload of learners as agreed with the Line Manager to carry out regular learner visits where evidence of progression on the award to be evidenced at a minimum of 28 days.
  • Assessment of learners to take place in accordance with sector, awarding body and TAQA Guidelines.
  • Timely completion of progress reviews and guidance points.
  • Submit portfolios in a timely manner for the interim and summative verification and work with of the Internal Verifier to ensure the quality of the award is maintained.
  • Liaise proactively with employers and actively source leads as directed.
  • Meet as a minimum the KPI agreed at performance reviews.
  • Undertake appropriate learning and development activities as required for the job role and maintain a record of all CPD.
  • Accurate maintenance of learner records ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information is maintained.
  • Timely submission of learner records as directed by internal requirements.
  • Submit when requested records for audit purposes.
  • Attend team meetings and standardisation meetings with the Line Manager where you will be required to report on apprentice progress and identify any 'at risk' apprentices/sites.
  • Communicate with the NE Skill Centres Manager on any leads, learner or employer Matters.
  • To ensure compliance with Learning Curve Group Equality and Diversity, Health and Safety and all other relevant policies, procedures and legislation.
  • To ensure compliance with the Safeguarding of Vulnerable Children and Adults policy
  • Provide learners, customers and colleagues with support, advice guidance as part of your everyday role
  • Conduct your role in line with the company values and expected behaviours

  • Comply with the Safeguarding, Prevent and Health and Safety Policies and be vigilant to potential concerns and risks at all times

Essential Criteria:


  • Qualified up to Level 3 in either, Bricklaying, Plastering, Carpentry & Joinery or Painting & Decorating.
  • Relevant Teaching & Assessing Qualifications.
  • Understanding of the Education and Training Industry

Salary:
Up to £35,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
