Machine Operative

Salary - £ P/H

Hours - 39 Hours per Week - 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Thursday; 8:00am - 1:00pm Friday

Are you an experienced machine operator looking for a new opportunity that offers a great work life balance and a good opportunity at progressing within the company? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a successful firm, specialising in the engineeringand manufacture of gaskets, valves and precision cutting.

You will be working with a machine that will clean cuts from materials such as PTFE, graphite, rubber, rubber and a range of other various materials.


Key duties of the Machine Operative will include:

  • Loading and unloading of components on to the machinery
  • Operating machinery to requirements
  • Daily checks on machinery
  • Operational maintenance, reporting any faults to senior operators
  • Conducting periodic quality checks
  • Processing relevant documentation

Key Skills and Experience of a Machine Operative:

  • Previous experience working with machinery
  • Capable of working to your own initiative
  • Ability to multitask and use initiative to time jobs
  • Must be able to follow procedures and instructions
  • Knowledge of production/manufacture process
  • Experience in an Engineering environment
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to read and understand measuring equipment is advantageous
  • Commitment to develop further and progress in the company
