Ideally we'd like someone with a minimum of 2 years experience in practice, but we would consider someone with experience in another field who is enthusiastic about childcare, confident with young children, and willing to learn.

If you are not yet qualified in childcare, we will arrange full training to get you qualified, so you can have a career in the early years sector.

If you have SVQ3, we can also arrange for you to get trained up to SVQ4 or higher.

You will be able to work well as part of a team to achieve positive outcomes for children, and demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic outlook about children and their development.


You will be working full-time probably over 4 1/2 days per week however we would also consider compressed hours at the discretion of the manager and needs of the nursery.


We are specifically looking for a new team member who is full of enthusiasm for working with young children, and with a love of being outdoors because we spend a majority of our time in our brilliant outdoor spaces We value the importance of having a skilled and knowledgeable team, so applicants should be able to demonstrate a commitment to the ongoing development of their professional practice.


  • Experience / knowledge (below is a brief overview, not an extensive list):
  • Working with young children, or experience of a caring role
  • A working knowledge of key ELC guidance such as Realising the Ambition and Curriculum for Excellence would be beneficial
  • Working in partnership with colleagues and parents to support children to reach their potential
  • Involvement in outdoor play opportunities

Salary:
£20,280.00-£22,672.00 per year
