Looking to progress your career with a Legal 500 firm in the Preston area? My client is looking for an experienced Solicitor to join their Wills, Probate, Tax and Trusts team.


This is a fantastic opportunity to work at their gorgeous office based in Walton Summit, wirh hybrid working as an option.

The role will be responsible for delivering successful outcomes such as:

  • working alongside other solicitors, partners, and paralegals;
- developing relationships with clients and third-party professionals and referrers such as accountants, IFAs etc;
- dealing with a mix of complex Private Client Case Work, i.e. Probate, Administration of Estates, Wills, IHT Planning Advice, General Estate Planning, trusts drafting and administration, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection;
- handling their own case load;
- using the Firm's case management systems.

  • Ideally have at least
    5 years of private client experience (however, those who either have shorter or greater post qualification experience will be considered);
  • Be a qualified Solicitor or CILEx qualified;
  • Good practical knowledge of a variety of complex private client matters;
  • Ideally have previous experience of dealing with high net worth clients and business owner clients;
  • Have good knowledge of case management systems and other IT software such as Microsoft Office;
  • Be able to work with minimum supervision;
  • Good client care skills, providing professional and competent legal advice in accordance with SRA Code of Conduct;
  • Proven experience of handling own caseload, working to and managing deadlines, alongside the capability to generate fees in accordance with agreed targets;
  • Good organisational and matter management skills and a committed attitude;
  • Good writing and drafting skills, with excellent communication and technical ability;
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team and be reliable and enthusiastic;
  • A driving licence and access to a vehicle as travel will be required throughout the Northwest region (*if you have a disability that prevents you from driving, please specify so we can assess what reasonable adjustments can be made).

£26,957.32-£90,721.65 per year
