An exciting opportunity has arisen to support Monitoring Laboratories (ML) to deliver a project to increase lab capacity to fulfil the requirements of the Terrestrial Natural Capital Ecosystem Assessment (tNCEA programme).
The NCEA programme will significantly increase the scale and scope of monitoring across the organisation and the lab service are pivotal in the delivery of this, providing the vital evidence which will underpin decision making.
- We are looking for a kind and motivated person with exceptional organisational skills to work with the project team and the ML management team through dedicated support.
This will include activities such as:
- Planning, scheduling and attending meetings
- Tracking action plans and completion of actions
- Administering and updating project plans
- Maintaining risk registers
- Producing communiques
- Recording and maintaining notes from meetings
- Supporting recruitment through administration of our recruitment system
- Tracking finances and budget management The team
- You will work directly with a small project team in Monitoring Labs which is part of National monitoring. We provide analytical services to the Environment Agency and external customers which includes the analysis of sediments, soils, biota and waters from across England and around the coastline including business critical bathing beaches and pollution response. This role is based at our Leeds lab where the increased capacity to deliver this project is being created.
