We are seeking a proactive and compassionate Interventions Teaching Assistant to join our Key Stage 2 team.This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our pupils by providing targeted support and interventions to those who require additional assistance to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored interventions to small groups or individual students within the Key Stage 2 setting, focusing on specific areas of need such as literacy, numeracy, or social skills.
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to identify students requiring interventions and develop personalized intervention plans.
- Monitor and track the progress of students receiving interventions, adjusting strategies and resources as necessary to ensure maximum impact and progression.
- Provide regular feedback to teachers and parents on the progress and achievements of students participating in interventions, celebrating successes and identifying areas for further development.
- Assist with the planning and preparation of intervention sessions, including gathering resources, setting up learning activities, and maintaining accurate records of student participation and outcomes.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar role, preferably within a Key Stage 2 setting.
- Knowledge of effective intervention strategies and techniques, with the ability to adapt interventions to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students, coupled with a genuine passion for helping them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
- Flexibility, creativity, and a proactive attitude towards problemsolving and continuous improvement.
- Relevant qualifications in education, teaching assistance, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
