About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Psychologist to join our team at Stanley House in Ledbury, a service for men and women with neurological conditions.

Job Description

This is a one day per week (7.5 hours) position providing consultancy to other professionals to provide goal-oriented care and treatment across the service and support with cognitive, psychometric, and behavioural assessment, on a referral basis.

Responsibilities

• Undertake high quality specialist psychological interventions, on a referral basis.
• Clinically supervise an Assistant Psychologist and support their professional development.
• Work therapeutically with service users with complex presentations, undertaking assessments using structured psychometric and semi-structured clinical methods.
• Formulate and implement plans of specialist psychological interventions.
• Be professionally responsible and accountable for all aspects of psychological practice.
• Maintain high standards of care in accordance with the HCPC Code of Conduct and Company Policies and Procedures.

Requirements

• Hold a BPS recognised psychology degree and Chartered Psychologist status.
• Be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Have understanding of evidence-based psychological practice.
• Have experience applying psychological knowledge to neurological services.
• Have previous experience working with clients with neurocognitive deficits.
• Have experience conducting research and project work.
