Description
Moving On Inverclyde provides a 4-phase recovery programme for individuals and their families with problematic relationships with substances. Working as part of a dedicated team, this role will be responsible for initial assessment through to aftercare support.

As part of this, you will work through a recovery action plan and complete ongoing reviews to ensure the needs of each person is being met and signposting to additional services as required.


In addition to this, a large part of the role will be delivering group work sessions based around Early Intervention, Relapse Prevention, and SMART recovery theory, using CBT psycho social activities, tools and resources.


As a Project Worker, you will manage your own caseload and provide support through individual key working sessions and liaise with other services when required to ensure a wrap around service is available as required.

This includes referring to our own Counselling provision as necessary.

Previous experience of recovery support is preferred as is previous experience of group work planning, design and delivery.


Qualifications

  • Formal Qualification in Health & Social Care (Minimum SVQ Level III or HNC) or equivalent

  • Counselling Skills e.g. COSCA

Experience and Knowledge

  • Knowledge of methods of supporting people and families with complex needs

  • Knowledge of national and local policy and standards frameworks relating to health and social care; and substance use in particular
