We are currently looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join various schools in Hitchin.

This role involves supporting the delivery of daily educational activities and providing both academic and personal development support to students across a range of age groups.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist in preparing the classroom environment, setting up equipment, and ensuring materials are available.
  • Work under the direction of the classroom teacher to support student learning, which may include group activities or working with individual students.
  • Help maintain classroom discipline by working alongside the teacher to manage student behavior.
  • Support the teacher in monitoring student progress and contributing to the assessment process.
  • Assist with special projects, field trips, exams, and other school events.
  • Provide additional support to students with special needs as directed by the teacher or SENCO.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in a classroom setting preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient and positive attitude, especially when working with children.
  • Minimum education level: A-Level or equivalent; NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools is advantageous.
  • Must pass an Enhanced DBS check.
