Purpose of the Role:
As the Receptionist at St Annes Nursing Home, your primary responsibility is to warmly welcome visitors and callers, projecting an open, pleasant, and calm outlook.
Key Daily Duties:

Visitor Management: Greet GP's, professional visitors, and relatives, accompanying them to their respective rooms and ensuring they have a positive experience during their stay.

Security Measures: Keep the front door locked and monitor access to the care home, ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents. Ensure all visitors sign in and out, maintaining accurate records.

Healthcare Professionals: Assist healthcare professionals by directing them to the appropriate nurse and providing any required proformas promptly.

Communication Hub: Utilize the phone/intercom system efficiently to relay messages within the care home, maintaining clear and effective communication.

Appointment Management: Monitor the diary and enter relevant dates, hospital appointments, and other essential information to keep staff and residents well-informed.

Contact Details Maintenance: Regularly update records of staff and visitors' contact details, ensuring accuracy and compliance with privacy regulations.
General Responsibilities:

Reception Area Maintenance: Keep the reception area clean, tidy, and welcoming, creating a positive first impression for all who enter the care home.

Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all resident and staff information, respecting their privacy at all times.

Excellent Communication: Foster open and respectful communication throughout the care home, promoting a harmonious and caring environment for residents and staff.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide a warm and caring welcome to visitors and callers.
- Strong organisational skills to manage the diary effectively and keep records up to date.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Empathy and understanding of the unique needs of the elderly residents and their families.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Hourly Rate:
The hourly rate for this role is £11
