Kind Consultancy is working with a well-known, leading Motor Finance business which is currently seeking a Tax Manager to join them in a permanent role paying circa £75,000.

This is a full-time role requiring 2 days per week based in their Surrey officeand 3 working from home.

Key responsibilities of the Tax Manager role will include:

  • Leading on all matters involving taxation for the company and subsidiaries
  • Defining tax strategy, ensuring the tax is managed effectively in line with company policy and agreeing and defining annual tax works/timetable
  • Managing all aspects of IFRS Tax Accounting covering Current & Deferred Corporation Tax
  • Preparing Corporation Tax for halfyearly and yearly reporting to global parent company
  • Preparing the Company & Group IFRS Corporation Tax provisioning and Tax notes for yearend reporting of Financial Statements.
  • Reviewing foreign subsidiary IFRS tax notes and liaising with foreign subsidiary Finance Managers
  • Managing yearend audit from a tax perspective, preparing and submitting yearly Corporation Tax Return to HMRC
  • Producing and reviewing quarterly VAT Returns to ensure VAT compliance
  • Managing the partial exemption method [PESM] including reviewing case law and managing external advisors in relation to PESM
  • Preparing and managing submission of Bad debt (GMAC) and Regulation 38 VAT relief claims
  • Providing tax guidance to the business and Senior leadership
  • Ensuring tax risks and opportunities are understood and managed appropriately and that all tax affairs are compliant.
  • Conducting horizon scanning & advising & implementing new processes as required
  • Coordinating and managing the transfer pricing position and documentation
  • Managing & preparing PAYE Settlement Agreement & Incentive Scheme Reporting
  • Must be CTA qualified with Corporation Tax experience
  • Holding ACCA/ACA qualification would be desirable
  • Has previous experience of leading and managing a small team
