The Vacancy
In this role you will gain a full understanding of the Property Insurance Market and learn all aspects of the Property Delegated Authority Scheme.
You will service and administer the insurance portfolios of Execs/Account Handlers & clients in a timely, professional and cost-effective manner.
The Duties of the Role
- Providing quotations under the scheme
- Adhering to U/W guides provided by Insurers
- Completed BDX returns/spreadsheets
- Issuing documentation for Renewals/MTA's/New Business
- Providing reports for the team and Insurers
- Assisting with workload due to team holidays/sickness
- Ensuring Green audits are received from insurers
- Fully responsible for own clients which incorporate Property, Terrorism, Engineering and Directors & Officers policies
- Be first point of contact for day to day enquiries from clients, providers and other internal and external sources
- Explain the differences in policy specific terms so clients can make informed decisions about their insurances
- Maintain client records and data in line with procedure manual
- Maintain retention rates
- Attend meetings with Account Executives to build relationships with clients and providers
- Comply with regulatory requirements, industry Codes of Practice and the Company's own procedures and rules
- Maintain and develop personal knowledge and skills through Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
- Process renewals and MTAs
- Experience in a similar role, within the insurance industry
- Analytical skills able to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions from it. Exhibits a probing mind and achieves penetrating insights
