Creatures Great & Small Ltd is a small family business operating in Brentwood and Billericay for 29 years. We are positioned in the main High Street and our stores are bright, colourful and inviting.

We have an in-store Grooming parlour on each site and supply a wide range of products that are aimed to pamper pets and keep them healthy and happy.

Examples in store include collars, leads, coats, designer dog beds and collars.

We stock and are experienced in a wide variety of pet foods, snacks and treats and cater for most domestic animals.

We have a team of dedicated staff eager to provide help and advice on any aspect of pet care.

To work as part of a team, Your role will be to assist the store team to maximise the potential of the store by providing exceptional customer service and promoting responsible pet ownership.

• You will exceed our customers' expectations by delivering Excellent Service within our stores
• Your excellent communication skills will be fully utilised as you will be dealing with customers and their pets on a daily basis.
• You'll be a people person, have a real passion for pets as well as being a great team player.
• You'll be hungry to be part of a successful team and you'll be proactive in your approach.
• You'll have the ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
• Ideally, you'll have experience in a similar, retail but caring environment and a handson approach.

Job Type / Category
We are open between 9am - 5.30pm Monday - Saturday


Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

• Applicants with experience of animal care or within the retail pet industry (Preferably Minimum 2 years experience) will be considered.

• Vast knowledge of pet shop products is ideal however we will provide extensive training
• Excellent communication skills, confidently being able to promote additional services we offer.
• Having the highest of expectations in presentation
• High level of flexibility to cover any shifts over 6 days between two shops (Billericay & Brentwood)
• A proactive attitude
