Import Export Coordinator - The Role:
The main role of the Import Export Coordinator is central to assisting the Import and Export Director with Expediting Guinness Nigeria Plc and Nigerian Breweries Inbound brands.
The post holder will be primarily responsible to act as the focal point betweenKato Enterprises and the above-mentioned suppliers to ensure the on-time availability and quality of the brands from these breweries.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Working with the Import and Export Director and the suppliers in Nigeria to ensure:
- On-time production runs in line with the agreed yearly production plans
- Availability of new bottles, labels, and packaging materials
- Availability of containers and ontime shipment of the produced brands to the port
- Compliance with regulatory bodies before shipments
- Regular communication with the Clearing Agent to make certain that all documentation is in order prior to shipment
- Ontime FOB of the brands and the Scheduling of shipments through ocean freight
- Shipments are tracked and Traced
- Shipping status of the consignments is communicated with HQ and resolving any issues that may arise during shipping
- Communicating the shipping plan with the Import and Export Director/ Supply Chain manager and logistic partners
- Resolving delivery delays and issues with freight forwarders
- Provide regular weekly and end of the monthly report
- Assume other related responsibilities as the line Manager assign
Qualifications:
High school diploma or its equivalent in related fields such as supply chain, Logistics, or Business Administration
Essential:
- Strong organisational skills, with proven strengths in administration
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Advanced local Nigerian language skills
- Basic knowledge in international sea & road freight shipping, custom documentation, and incoterms
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including oral, written, and listening skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
- Highly organized, selfmotivated, hardworking, and efficient in time management
- Customer service skills (diplomatic, calm, and patient) and the ability to build relationships
- Ability to perform well without close supervision and a team player
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure and pay attention to details
- Rational and analytic thinking
Experience in the following will be an advantage:Expeditor, Supply Chain, Stock Control, Purchasing, Ecommerce, Procurement, Import, Export, Freight, Shipping, and Logistics.
