Bede's requires a dedicated individual to join our team as
Assistant Director of Safeguarding.

We are a vibrant, inclusive co-educational school covering age ranges from 3 months to 19 years. This position will be based at our Senior School, in Upper Dicker.


Reporting to our Director of Safeguarding, this is an exciting opportunity for someone to assist in taking the lead on safeguarding and child protection across the Trust.

Being a Senior School Deputy Safeguarding Lead, coordinating referrals and supporting and training others to deliver their safeguarding responsibilities.


We require someone that has a good knowledge of legislation and guidance on safeguarding and working with young people, including knowledge of the responsibilities of schools and other agencies, To have the ability to communicate effectively to a range of audiences including children, families, colleagues and other agencies.

Above all else, we are looking for someone who can maintain confidentiality in sensitive situations, knowing when to share information and to accept responsibility for decision making.

Having Safeguarding training to DSL Level 3 is essential to this role.

This role is a Permanent position, 40 hours per week on a Term Time only plus 4 week contract.
