Description

Role Purpose


We are looking for an ESG & Supply Chain Coordinator to join our team at Vestey Foods UK, to help us on our sustainability journey.

The role involves working closely with stakeholders across the organization to promote sustainable practices and improve the company's environmental and social impact.

The ESG & Supply Chain Coordinator will be responsible for identifying and mitigating supply chain risks and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

This role will also include logistics & supply chain responsibilities, such as inventory management, transport management and shipping administration.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct Carbon Assessment detailing emissions for:


  • Scope

  • direct emissions from company owned vehicles and facilities, including fuel combustion and emission leaks


  • Scope
- indirect emissions from purchased electricity, heat, steam and cooling


  • Scope
3 (upstream) - Indirect emissions throughout our supply chain, business activities and purchases.

  • Assess & Report on water use & energy intensity for Vestey UK sites
  • Identify current state and opportunities in relation to waste & recycling
  • Identify total packaging imported and distributed by category
  • Support the Vestey Holdings Head of ESG in data collection and reporting
  • Work with departments on social sustainability projects, such as community volunteering
  • Work across all business units and functions to build relationships with key contacts in data collation
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Support logistics of inbound and outbound shipments, including coordinating with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes.

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Previous experience in logistics/supply chain environment
  • MS Office

  • Demonstrate an awareness of environmental or sustainability management system or tools
  • Passionate about the role sustainability plays in business & desire to make a positive change
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communicator & relationship builder
  • Strong ability to understand, translate and present large amounts of complex data
  • Able to work as an individual as well as part of a team
