Description

We are a small family local Pest control company who have been operating from our base in Redruth for many years.

We are looking for an office-based administrator / receptionist to replace our lovely Helen who has been with us for a few years and will provide training and a handover.

Contracted hours will be 20 per week 9am-2pm Monday to Friday.

No weekends are required for this role.

Daily responsibilities include ensuring effective communication between the technicians and customers in scheduling services and appointments and addressing concerns.


You will be coordinating jobs from both Cornwall and Devon areas and will need to be able to arrange a job round in order via location addresses for each technician - these will include private domestic properties and contracted commercial properties.

You will also take enquiries by phone and need to work with the diary to book these in.


The position also requires the ability to handle billing inquiries, invoices and attend to accounts payable/receivable, run reports and manage record keeping via the Gorilla Desk System.

Social media management including blog content and Facebook post creation.

Essential,

  • Have excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Be selfmotivated as you will be working alone in the office most of the time.
  • Be an excellent communicator in all aspects and have previous proven experience.
  • Have experience in office management including filing and managing business correspondence including confidential information.
  • Be confident with multitasking as calls may come throughout the day as you are already working on current tasks.
  • Be confident with using standard Microsoft programs including Word, Excel and Publisher at a basic/ intermediate level.
Additional desirable skills,

Basic knowledge of accounting procedures such as bookkeeping and other general financial procedures.


Knowledge of computer programs used in daily office administration functions such as word processors, spreadsheets, publisher and specialised office management tools - Gorilla Desk Management System.

Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to research and an aptitude for helping other people.

Willingness to take on a variety of tasks as their will be projects the company director shall require assistance from time to time

We plan to hold interviews on Friday 20th August.


Job Types:

Part-time hours: 20-25 per week

£11.00 per hour
