A unique opportunity has arisen to join the HR team at Middlesbrough Football Club as a full time HR Advisor.


THE ROLE


The main purpose of the role is to provide the necessary HR, recruitment, training and administration support to the Head of HR and managers across the business, ensuring we remain compliant with employment law and company procedures.

The role will primarily be based at the Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough, however, there will also be a requirement to work at Rockliffe Park Training Ground in Hurworth-on-Tees.


The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Assisting in the maintenance of a consistent and robust recruitment process ensuring we attract and retain exceptional people.
  • Providing efficient, accurate and thorough administrative support to the Head of Human Resources
  • Supporting managers with grievance, disciplinary and capability investigations and hearings, including minute taking
  • Ensuring all HR policies are kept relevant and up to date and are communicated effectively to all MFC staff members.
  • Working in conjunction with department managers on performance management, career development and general employee relation issues.
  • Assisting with any project work allowing the HR function to operate strategically and improve processes across the business.

THE CANDIDATE

  • Have experience of providing advice and guidance to managers and employees on a range of HR issues
  • Possess a CIPD qualification or be working towards
  • Be highly numerate and literate with an ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Be IT competent and used to working with Microsoft Office and HR systems. A knowledge of Sage HR would be advantageous
  • Have excellent attention to detail and be capable of planning and prioritising work
  • Be able to work on your own initiative and remain calm under pressure as you will be responsible for the HR function in the absence of the Head of HR
  • Understand the importance of data protection and confidentiality
  • Be flexible to the demands of the business and willing to work at different sites
