The Customer Care / Customer Retention Consultant Role


The purpose of the role is to re-engage customers who are at risk of losing their protection or have recently lost it, understand their situation, educate where necessary, and offer solutions to find them up to date suitable cover.

This is a telephone-basedrole and the consultant will have multiple customers at a time, taking them from initial "fact find" through to a solution.


Customer Care / Customer Retention Consultant responsibilities

  • Contacting customers (by telephone) following notification of cancelled policies, failed payments, or cancelled direct debits.
  • Hosting a conversation and asking probing questions to understand why the policy is cancelled/payment failed and appropriate objection handling.
  • Understanding the client's protection needs and offering solutions, educating the customer throughout.
