Secondary MFL teacher required in Surrey from February


Attention all experienced MFL teachers A high-achieving secondary school in Redhill, Surrey is seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher of KS3-KS4 Spanish and French to join our team on a long-term, full-time temporary contract starting on 1st February2023.

The contract will continue until the end of the academic year.


The school is located in a desirable catchment area with excellent transport links and offers a manageable timetable, including plenty of PPA time and equal teaching time for French and Spanish classes for students aged 11-16 with mixed ability levels.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic teacher to join a supportive and successful department.

As a secondary MFL teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress
  • Collaborating with other teachers and department members
  • Participating in department meetings and professional development opportunities
  • Supporting and advising students and parents
To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A degree in Modern Foreign Languages or related field
  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • A proven track record of teaching KS3-KS4 MFL Spanish and French
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A passion for teaching and a desire to inspire students
  • A valid DBS check or be willing to obtain one

  • Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover full work history
  • Legal right to work in the UK
