Stores Operative | Leeds| Full Time | Monday to Friday 9am-5pm | £19,000 - £20,000 Per Annum
Our company is one of the UK market leaders within the test and measurement industry. Trading since 2005, we specialise in Sales and Calibration of test equipment with our offices based in Leeds, LS13.
We work in close partnership with world renowned manufacturers as distribution partners and service centre and we are well known and respected within our industry.
In this role you will work within the existing Stores / Warehouse team where your main responsibilities will be to pick and pack items secure for transit, booking in goods using our stock management system, organising, and tidying within our stores, receiving goods from couriers, checking accuracy of stock levels as well as other tasks.

Are you the right person for the job?
- Close attention to detail and accuracy is key in fulfilling this position successfully
- Experience in picking and packing goods would be beneficial but not essential
- You must be a team player with good communication skills
- The ability to work at a fast pace as and when needed and can multitask
- You need to be organised and tidy
- A willingness to learn new skills
What will your role as a Stores Operative look like?
- Picking and packing goods
- Lifting will be involved, typically between 18kg but sometimes over
- Booking in / Booking out goods using our existing systems and procedures
- Receiving boxes to be unpacked, checking items against delivery notes and store correctly
- Be responsible for liaising daily with the Sales / Administration Team to ensure that orders are shipped out to meet deadlines and on the correct courier service
- Processing sales orders and shipments
- Regularly restocking, organising, and tidying the Stores Department
- Checking accuracy of stock levels as well as other tasks
- Tasks should be performed in accordance with the companies' Health & Safety practices
