Description
10 hours per week working flexibly over 2 days of the week (including weekends and bank holidays)

About you
This is an opportunity to help deliver good quality, freshly prepared lunchtime meals to the customers at Edwards Court.

Ideally you will have experience of working within a team, of assisting the manager with menu planning and stock rotation as well as the varied diets required.

You will provide cover for the Head Chef when required.

You will manage both the staffing and kitchen cleaning rotas when you are on in charge of the kitchen and work in partnership with the Head Chef to provide a seamless service to residents.

Your enthusiasm to provide the very best service possible to the residents of Edwards Court will be essential.

About the role

As Assistant Chef you will be required to help ensure lunchtime cover is provided for 365 days of the year through good rota management.

You will be prepared to work additional hours (when required) to cover annual leave or sickness.

You will need to have knowledge of the different textures and dietary needs of the people who live at Edwards Court and work with them to produce a satisfying and enjoyable meal.

About the team

You will be part of a small team of approximately 4 staff consisting of a Head Chef and catering assistants.

This is an exciting opportunity to become involved with the scheme; you will have input into how the service expands using customer feedback to mould both the team and the food provision.
