The Opportunity:
Payroll Advisor


Contract:
Permanent


Location:
Cannock


The Impact you will have:


  • Prepare, and process, the payroll within agreed deadlines, ensuring employees pay is accurately calculated and paid on time and the business receives all relevant reports.
To include calculating SSP, SMP, deductions and holiday pay enhancement

  • To check data input has calculated correctly and pay is correct
  • Deal with enquiries on payroll related matters and respond to external correspondence in a timely manner
  • To receive information from Managers, outside bodies and employees, check, prepare and input work
  • General changes data input into payroll system including sickness, overtime, holiday enhancement, hospital appointments and maternity/paternity pay
  • To ensure relevant legislation and instructions on payroll related matters are complied with
  • To liaise with Secondsight to effectively process Group Life Assurance and Group Income Protection claims

What will help you to excel in this role:

  • A strong knowledge of payroll processes and calculations
  • Strong working knowledge of IT systems and Excel
  • Significant experience of communicating across a remote workforce
