Streamline search are looking for an experienced
Estimator/ Cost Manager to join a leading specialist fire protection contractor providing passive fire protection systems and life safety solutions throughout the UK.

The successful Estimator / Cost Manager will be joining the Laindon based team preparing cost estimates for various passive fire protection tenders involving fire stopping, fire boarding / intumescent / cementitious spray systems to structural steels, Durasteel,fire doors, etc.

The role could also suit a strong Surveyor/ Project Manager with good estimating skills that is looking to progress into the Estimating/ Commercial side of the business.

Estimator Responsibilities

Review documents, specifications, drawings and any other documents received from Clients and surveyors and identify the various items of works to be done.
Perform quantity takeoffs (of works to be carried out) from drawings.
Liaise with suppliers to seek updated materials prices and compliant installations and prepare individual costs for various technical details issued by Clients.
Collate information from surveys carried out by surveyors and from tenders and prepare detailed quotations and itemised Bills of Quantities

Estimator Requirements

Relevant experience within Passive Fire protection works, ideally more than 3 years.
The applicant must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
Able to work across various projects simultaneously.
