Description
We are currently looking for a Graduate Environmental Permitting Consultant to join our waste permitting team.

Tasks will be varied but will include the following:


  • Helping clients to identify whether and what sort of Environmental Permit they may need
  • Identifying the mitigation, monitoring and best practice measures that should be employed
  • Carrying out the relevant risk assessments
  • Varying permits in response to changes in the activities at a facility or changes to the controlling legislation or guidance
  • Preparing, reviewing and submitting monitoring and reporting data
  • Checking whether clients are complying with their permits by carrying out audits
  • Collating and submitting the necessary information for the surrender of permits when there is no longer a need to operate a particular facility.


We will train you to become familiar with the relevant legislation and guidance and how it should be interpreted in practice.

You will work with others in the company who carry out specialist risk assessments such as impacts on the water environment or slope stability and you will learn to carry out assessments such as nuisance risk assessments, dust and odour impact assessments and atmospheric dispersion modelling.
