PSL Housing Officer (2 posts)
Post hours per week, Monday to Friday - Fixed term to cover substantive post holder on secondment.

Post - 24hrs hours per week, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - Fixed term for maternity leave cover.

These posts are based at Link's Edinburgh office.

C~urb PSL, which is part of Link Group, is looking for an Edinburgh based Housing Officer to deliver a professional tenancy management service to customers.

Reporting to the Tenancy Services Supervisor, the role involves tenancy sign-ups, regular visits and signposting for support or money advice, making housing benefit claims and handling arrears, reporting repairs, managing tenancy breaches, and bringing tenancies to an end.


The role is within a wider team of Housing Officers within the Private Sector Leasing (PSL) Service provided by Link on behalf of the City of Edinburgh Council.

Properties are leased from private landlords to the City of Edinburgh Council which are let to households facing homelessness on a Short Scottish Secure Tenancy as intermediate temporary accommodation.


About You
As PSL Housing Officer, you will ideally have an SCQF Level 6 qualification or equivalent housing or lettings experience.

You will be self-motivated to work as a lone worker and as part of a team with a commitment to excellent customer service.


Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential as are organisational skills, attention to detail, adaptability, problem solving and time management skills.

You will need an awareness of housing benefit and wider welfare benefit issues although training will be provided.

You will have experience of following procedures and of using a range of IT packages.

This role requires a full drivers licence and access to a car for work.
