One of Exeter's modern, innovative and forward-thinking law firms are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary / Support person, to join their Real Estate team.

Based in the city-centre, this role would suit someone from a legal background, although previousproperty law experience isn't a must.

The firm feel that this position plays a really pivotal support function to the fee-earners and the wider team, carrying out a varied set of secretarial and administrative tasks, while being a trusted and included memberof the team.

This is a national firm, but with a close-knit team.

Essentially,the firm's objective is to improve the outcomes for every person, business or community that it serves


Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):


  • Client Relationship Management
  • including being an active part of the client experience. Speaking to clients and keeping people updated. Managing the interaction of new enquiries and requests.

Administrative tasks - including opening and closing of files, diary management, using the systems to log and record information, document production, drafting of

- supporting the fee earners with billing, credit control and other reporting.

Customer Service:

- including arranging and attending meetings, keeping clients update on workflow, while regularly offering assistance if needed.


Skills and experience sought:


  • Previous experience within a legal support role would be a massive advantage for this role
  • Any property law related experience would be an advantage, but not essential
  • An organised approach
  • Strong communication skills
  • A high level of taking responsibility and ownership for tasks
  • A methodical approach with attention to detail

Hours and benefits:


  • Monday to Friday (09:00 17:00)
