**Primary Classroom Assistant Required
Newport
£10.77 hourly rate

Our partnership school has asked us to recruit for a Classroom Assistant to work within a Primary school in Newport supporting the needs of Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2 students.

The role will entail working across all year groups and supporting thechildren with their educational needs, social and emotional needs, and their well-being.


The school is the heart of the community, and the happiness and wellbeing of each individual child is the center to the ethos of the school.

The headteacher would describe the school as having highly motivated, aspirational, and caring staff members.

Theyare committed to providing opportunities for all of them learns who develop into respectful, compassionate and contribute positively to the well-being of others.


The headteacher is looking for us to recruit a successful educator to join the team as early as possible and for the remainder of the academic year, for the most suitable educator.

Although this is a temporary position, the school have indicated there isscope to move onto a permanent basis providing the educator is successful and fits in with the ethos of the school.


What does it take to be a Classroom Assistant?

  • Passion for education
  • Patience and understanding
  • No formal educational qualifications necessary
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate available on the Update service (Teaching Personal can assist)
  • Valid registration with the Education Workforce Council (Teaching Personal can assist)
For this role, the classroom assistant will be working within several classes on a day-to-day basis. Their position is to assist the teacher's delivery of education to the students and manage challenging behaviour. Reading or explaining tasks to students,understanding, and supporting their needs and keeping students focused on their tasks.
