Title Scheduler/Planner (Smart Metering)
Location Office location - Newcastle, NE15 8NX
Reporting To Scheduling Team Leader
Role Purpose You will play a crucial role as a Scheduler. Working within a busy team you will be planning and jeopardy managing the workload of a team of field based Smart Metering Engineers.
Key Responsibilities
The Scheduler will assume full responsibility for planning and jeopardy management of the workload of a team of field based Smart Metering Engineers.
- Proactively schedule work for field based Smart Metering Engineers across the UK
- Ensure that work is planned effectively maximising density and minimising travel
- Issue emergency/high priority work to the best placed Engineer ensuring that client SLAs are adhered to and preplanned work is not put into jeopardy
- Continually liaise with and update field based management on progress and issues throughout the day
- Liaise and communicate effectively with multiple clients to ensure the completion of all work in a timely manner and address any issues to the satisfaction of the client
- Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement and share best practice with your colleagues
The above responsibilities are not exhaustive and the position is such that other responsibilities will be expected as part of the role as required.
