At SWIFT we are seeking enthusiastic individuals with GCSE Maths and English C or 4, or equivalent, and some personal or professional childcare experience to join the team as a childcare apprentice.

Abbey Wood is a private Pre-School offering high quality nursery childcare, free nursery places for children aged between - 4 years. Abbey Wood Grange and set within tree lined grounds. The local area is well served by public transport, with Kenley train station just a few minutes' walk away.
Abbey Wood Grange Pre-school is the largest independent Nursery in South Croydon, and celebrated their 25 Year Anniversary in 2015

The main responsibilities of this job role will include:

Working towards Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship.
Supporting the development of the childcare provision.
Providing an excellent range of activities that ensures that the child learns whilst having fun.
Being a team player.
Providing challenging and stimulating activities for all children
Taking part in First Aid training as required
Working with teams across the nursery setting
Supporting children's learning and development.
Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources for the children. Preparation of food for breakfast, snack and afternoon tea.
Supporting children's selfhelp needs.
Being creative and enthusiastic.
Following Safeguarding rules and regulations to also meet the Standard of the Childcare Apprenticeship.

In addition to on-the-job training, you will receive support from an assessor and mentor throughout your apprenticeship, and your classroom days will be based online.

Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will receive a Level 3 NVQ - Advanced Diploma Early Years Educator, and may even be eligible for 30% off your Oyster Card

This is a full-time 30 hour a week position with a starting salary of £8,236.80 a year
