This opportunity at Cheesecake Energy is a rich blend of Commissioning Engineer, Project Engineer, Test Engineer, and Facilities Manager elements.
In a nutshell, this role is about feeding your commissioning experience into the design of a plant and then seeing that same plant all the way through into service, coordinating how equipment is delivered, accepted, installed, tested, and commissioned.
You will lead the thinking on our commissioning approach and then execute it - initially focusing on our full-scale prototype plant, in 2023, and then on future customer systems.
A broad and versatile role inclusive of maintenance, calibration, facilities, and integration, your expertise will assist in pre-empting and problem-solving.

The Key Requirements
We're looking for full lifecycle experience - from a patch of wasteland to delivered and commissioned process equipment - related to any kind of automated system.
In previous roles you might have developed the process of the design and specifications and then overseen it, or you might have managed the day-to-day commissioning.
This is a relatively unique role and interesting proposition - you'll be a spearhead formaking our commissioning slick for production and managing the process.
The Day to Day
- Preparing, commissioning and operational documentation
- Managing equipment and the process of bringing it onto the site
- Building plans for the logistics of bringing it; managing suppliers
- Testing, followed by commissioning steps pressure testing, system testing, equipment testing
Predominantly, you will be working at our site in Jubilee Park Campus, Nottingham; there'll also be some travelling to visit clients and, when online/remote working is sufficient, that's fine.
