Location Sheffield or home based (with hybrid working and national travel as required)
We're looking for a proactive self-starter, who, like us, believes in the power of democratic engagement for making a difference on the climate and nature crisis.
As our new Policy and Engagement Officer, you'll play a pivotal role delivering our tried and tested training programme for political engagement.
As the primary liaison for constituents, you'll empower them to effectively connect with elected representatives, offering tailored advice, facilitating meetings, and providing ongoing support.

About Hope for the Future
We are a climate change charity, training communities, groups and individuals to work with politicians on climate change.
Our vision is to see politicians of all political persuasions joining together with each other and with communities across the UK to take decisive action on climate change.
We are a small but fast-growing charity, operating nationally at a grassroots level, linking constituents with their MPs, running training and holding events.

- A salary of £26,924.00 per annum plus £3k London Weighting for staff who live in the qualifying postcode areas.

About You
To be considered as for this role, you will need:
- A good understanding of climate change and nature loss/ degradation and a commitment to mitigating their impacts.
- A good working knowledge of UK politics
- Experience in planning and delivering a busy workload, managing priorities and working to timescales
- To be enthusiastic and selfmotivated, comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with good attention to detail
Experience of working with elected representatives and organising and supporting events are desirable, but not essential, skills for this role.
