We are looking for a Part-Time Laboratory Support Technician for our Cambridge based client.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage inventory using a Kanban system, restocking laboratories and storeroom
  • Order laboratory consumables via computerbased systems
  • Manage the Goods-Inwards process, including receipt of goods, reconciling, and booking in deliveries, point of contact for delivery queries
  • Ensure goods received are stored appropriately
  • Conduct routine laboratory procedures, including aliquoting reagents, managing different waste streams by recycling and autoclaving
  • Perform daily laboratory cleaning tasks
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies

Requirements:


  • Prior laboratory experience
  • Selfmotivated and resourceful, with initiative and a positive 'cando' attitude.
  • Ability to respond flexibly to shifts in priorities
  • Detailoriented, able to produce and maintain accurate records
  • Have a demonstrated interest in science.
  • IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office
