The COS HLB Information and Corporate Governance Support EO assists in the promotion, maintenance, and delivery of effective information and corporate governance across COS HLB.

The postholder acts as a vital link between COS HLB, and those embedded units at Top Level Budget (TLB) under COS to guide on both Information & Corporate governance assurance checks and returns.

This is a lively and fast paced role and will suit someone who is passionate about and committed to governance and assurance.

The postholder will help to ensure that COS HLB, the newest and smallest HLB within UKStratCom, delivers against both information and corporate governance requirements.

This position is advertised at 36/37 hours per week Tacos Dependant

Job description:

The Information & Corporate Governance Support EO is based in Strategic Command's 4* Headquarters in Northwood.

If successful, you will ensure that all Information and Corporate processes and practices adhere to policies and standards as set out in individual JSPs (Joint Service Publication), and other policy guidance documents produced by MOD.

A self-starter with day-to-day autonomy, you will have a consistent record of providing high quality advice and support. You will quickly build effective relationships across the HLB, working confidently to provide trustworthy and dependable guidance and assistance.

By keeping up to date with changes in policy and direction, you will be able to support information and corporate governance procedures and working arrangements, to ensure we meet MOD and the UK Government's requirements as well as continually improving the way we support the wider HLB team.

You will be part of a friendly Governance team of 4 which is part of the COS HLB Resources and Policy team.

The Governance team works closely with colleagues in workforce, HR, and finance to provide a strong support structure to the HLB.

The postholder will support the HEO Corporate Governance and the HEO Information Governance with a range of tasks in these specialist areas.

This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is an informal, non-contractual and voluntary arrangement, blending a balance of attendance in the workplace, Northwood HQ, and working from home as a personal choice, based on business assessment of where the work is best done.

If you are successful, any opportunities for hybrid working will be discussed with you, prior to you taking up your post.
