Showroom and Operations Assistant at Future Kitchens


Future Kitchens, Cornwall's largest kitchen showroom is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Showroom and Operations Assistant to join our team.

As a Showroom and Operations Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers have a remarkable experience while visiting our showroom.

You will also be expected to undertake training to learn the role of Sales Designer with the expectation to step into this role should a vacancy open up or if customer demand reaches a point where an additional Sales Designer would be required


Responsibilities:


  • Manage returns: Handle customer returns efficiently and courteously, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately. Coordinate with the relevant suppliers to process returns and exchanges promptly. This may also include assisting in selling through clearance stock where items are unable to be returned to suppliers.
  • Maintain displays: Ensure showroom displays are visually appealing and organized, with products showcased to their full potential. Collaborate with the showroom team to update displays regularly and incorporate new products or design elements.
  • Order brochures: Monitor brochure inventory levels and place orders to replenish stock. Keep track of brochure updates and ensure the latest versions are available for customers.
  • Assist customers visiting the showroom: Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their needs, and provide expert guidance on our kitchen products and services. Offer recommendations based on customer preferences and budget constraints.
  • Schedule appointments: Book customers in with our sales designer's for home surveys and in store consultations.
  • Carry out other adhoc tasks as and when required.
  • Undertake CAD training from our existing team. This will involve learning the planning laws of a kitchen and sales techniques.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in a customerfacing role, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage customers effectively and build positive relationships.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities to maintain showroom displays and handle administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and the ability to learn new software systems.
  • A keen interest in kitchen design and an ability to learn about the features and benefits of our products.
  • Typical working week of Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and the expectation to work Saturday's 9am to 1pm as required.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Attend training sessions at various locations across the UK and possibly beyond when required.
  • Pay negotiable depending on experience

Salary:
£10.42-£11.50 per hour

Education:


  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
