Job Title:
Payroll Administrator
Location: Office based Oldham


Reports To:
Management Accountant


Role Purpose


The key purpose of the role will be to provide administration support to enable accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll (circa 700 multi-site employees) split across three separate monthly pay runs.

Role Responsibilities;

In this role you are responsible for:

  • Updating Sage 50 Payroll with:
  • New starters information
  • Employees change of details
  • Monthly overtime payments due via excel uploads
  • Absence deductions via excel uploads
  • Employee sicknotes and calculations of any statutory or company payments due
  • Employee statutory maternity and paternity leave
  • Employee expense claim forms
  • Leavers details
  • Reviewing company and employee pension payments to ensure accuracy
  • Submission of monthly statutory returns
  • Liaising with all sites Human Resources Department to ensure all employee changes are reflected in payroll
  • The first point of contact for employee queries or information requests
  • Provide weekly agency reports detailing headcount and costs for multiple sites
  • Checking and processing of agency invoices using Sage 50 Accounts
  • Assist in the provision of weekly salary forecasts for multiple sites
  • Assist in the provision of weekly, monthly and annual payroll reporting and analysis
  • Actively contributing to both the HR and Finance teams as and when required and provide wider company administrative support as required.
