We're excited to bring to the market a further opportunity for the role of International Underwriting Assistant, joining our highly respected Real Estate Speciality team.

AXA are one of the lead insurers for Real Estate clients, working with specialist brokers and a team that are well respected in the industry, having built a strong reputation, of which we take great pride.


We're seeking an individual with a thorough understanding of the Property underwriting market and a desire to work within the London and International markets, with a focus on specialist Real Estate brokers and global clients.

Working within the underwriting team, you will be required to manage the end-to-end process of servicing our broker partners and clients.

You will ensure all administrative activities are carried out in a timely and efficient manner, to the highest quality.

The role will allow for full engagement across the Real Estate function, liaising with underwriting, finance, credit control, claims and global offices.

What you'll be doing:


  • You'll help AXA achieve our longterm ambitions to combine technical excellence with innovate client solutions
  • Deliver on financial targets through profitable underwriting of risks and developing partnerships with our key brokers
  • To ensure that AXA's Service Standards are met and, if possible, exceeded in the implementation of UK and International Programmes
  • Build positive relationships with Clients, their brokers and become the focal and contact point for all service matters relating to their accounts
  • Working closely with Underwriters of all levels to deliver agreed client service standards
  • Ensure that all handled programmes are implemented to agreed service standards and corporate guidelines
  • Supporting AXA's business development and client relationship activities
  • Assist where required with ongoing Projects that are identified throughout a given year for better improvement to the AXA servicing model

Qualifications:


  • Understanding of the Property underwriting market and a desire to work within the London and International markets, with a focus on specialist Real Estate brokers and clients
  • Sound knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements for insurance, including treating customers fairly
  • Selfmotivated and comfortable managing your own workload; this is imperative as you will need to operate at a strategic level, personally and actively influencing our approach and future direction for servicing clients
  • A willingness to always go the extra mile, looking at ways to improve processes to progress forward and the ability to juggle priorities
  • Pragmatic decision maker with good analytical and numerical reasoning skills
  • Ideally some experience of servicing international insurance programmes


As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorized to work in the United Kingdom.
