Hotel Receptionist
THE JOB ROLE CONSISTS OF
- To ensure that a friendly and efficient service is given by the reception team always.
- Liaise and cooperate well with other operational departments, notably housekeeping, concierge and accounts on all front office matters which affect them.
- Work towards targets and maximise up sells by promoting in house services from guests checking in and visiting the properties using figures given by the restaurant and bars
- Ensure hotel policy, as it relates to front office, is strictly observed at checkin, during guest stay and departure.
- To check the room availability by room type and to make appropriate adjustments to avoid overbooking, keeping control of the "off" rooms always.
- Handle complaints with immediate action and through follow up not allowing the complaint to leave the building
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
- Previous experience in a similar role preferably
- Strong leadership skills
- Problem solving and complaint handling
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Team player
- Attention to detail
- Selfmotivated
