This year we are pleased to announce that we are taking on 27 Apprentices, who will all benefit from a combination of hands-on working opportunities and off-site training while studying toward a formal qualification in a chosen career.

Bricklaying Apprentice

How long is the apprenticeship: 4 years.

Which qualification will you achieve:
Level 3 Bricklaying


What you will learn:
To develop skills and knowledge to assist in bricklaying works.

To learn the full range of bricklaying tasks associated with the repair, maintenance, and refurbishment of our properties (under supervision).

To support a bricklayer in carrying out all installations, repairs and maintenance work required and all other bricklayer duties including general bricklaying, brickwork repairs, pointing, paving, concrete work and preservation work.

How to undertake duties safely in line with Health and Safety regulations and policy; including ensuring risk assessments, method statements, product information and COSHH data sheets are accurately followed.

To develop an awareness of specific access equipment to be used for working at height and use in accordance with method statements.

To complete all relevant training and assessments associated with the apprenticeship within given timescales, attending college and in-house training as required.

To comply with the Groups Health & Safety policy, carrying out all tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
To comply with the Group's customer service standards and Code of Conduct.


What we are looking for:


To make sure you will be starting on an appropriate qualification path, you will need to either already achieved or expect to achieve by September 24 a minimum of 2 GCSE (or equivalent) passes at Grade 4/C or above in Maths and English.


You will also need to be able to meet the travel requirements of the post which will mean being able to get to and from both your place of work and college.
