Delivery Driver and Storeroom Operative


We are a long established company specialising in the design, supply and installation of luxury bathrooms from our showroom in Boldmere, Sutton Coldfield, and we will shortly be expanding into the kitchens sector.

An opportunity arises for a Delivery Driver and Storeroom Operative, reporting to the Accounts Manager.

This role involves the delivery of goods (e.g. products, tiles and materials) to private residences and administering the 2 external storerooms on site. This includes receiving and physically handling deliveries into the premises, picking and loading items for delivery by you, and managing all the associated paperwork


This is a currently a part time position, 08:00am - 16:00pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (21 hours ex lunch break).

There is however a possibility that additional hours/different days may be required, and the position may eventually become full time as our expansion continues during 2023.

Therefore flexibility in this regard is important.


Duties and responsibilities:


  • Receiving deliveries into the store rooms and physically moving them to the required storage location
  • Identifying damaged or incorrectly labelled stock and notifying supervisor
  • Maintaining the stockrooms in a clean and tidy condition at all times, ensuring that all goods are clearly and accurately labelled and identifiable
  • Accurately picking and packing goods in accordance with delivery specifications ready for delivery to customers
  • Physically loading goods onto vehicle ready for delivery
  • Undertaking deliveries to customer residences efficiently and professionally
  • Occasionally collecting 'returns' from residences
  • Ensuring any returned goods are stored and processed promptly and correctly
  • Maintaining accurate records/documentation at all times in compliance with company processes
  • Undertaking on site general maintenance activity as required
  • Complying with Health & Safety standards at all times

Required Skills and Experience required:


  • Preferably previous storeroom/warehouse experience
  • Ideally forklift license
  • Physically fit to move/lift sometimes heavy goods
  • Taking pride in a tidy and clean workspace
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and records
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
  • Ability to balance and prioritise workloads
  • Well organised, motivated and proactive, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Presentable with good interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility, with particular regard to working hours

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 21 per week


Salary:
£9.00-£11.00 per hour
