An excellent development opportunity has arisen within the Procurement Team at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust to build on your procurement skills in a range of medical categories and subcategories, from Medicine to Radiology.
As a Senior Buyer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services to support our operations.
You will be responsible for managing and supporting the end-to-end procurement process, from supplier selection and negotiation to contract management.
Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements, develop sourcing strategies, and optimize supplier relationships to achieve cost savings and operational efficiencies.
The post plays a key role ensuring compliance with individual organisational Standing Orders, Standing Financial Instructions, relevant EU and procurement legislation and taking into account any recommendations from NHS regulators, national initiatives or Department of Health guidance.
Your ability to maintain commercial, financial, and legal knowledge and awareness of constantly changing markets and, identifying to the Procurement Management Team issues and changes that will affect the marketplace will be key.
You will actively promote the role and raise awareness of the department by offering advice and guidance to departments in all matters relating to procurement.
