Quest Search & Selection are currently partnering with this This FMCG retailer who is looking to recruit an Assistant/Junior Buyer to assist with the Category Manager to manage and develop the allocated category in line with corporate policy.

The roles and responsibilities of this Senior Assistant Buyer role

To be accountable for the delivery of Key Performance Indicator's (KPI) and support their line manager in all aspects of the buying function
To construct and maintain product ranges within each category that delivers an appropriate solution to their customers
To maintain retail prices within the categories within the company pricing policy
To deliver the budgeted sales, gross margin and margin rate for the categories
To help construct and implement appropriate promotional activity within the categories and in line with the company promotional strategy
To manage the supply base in an efficient and effective manner
To review and report on results on a monthly basis
Ensure store queries relevant to the allocated categories, are dealt with in a timely and complete manner
To ensure that all buying and negoitation policies and procedural requirements are adhered to.
